Mr. Ledbetter is a graduate of University of Michigan (B.G.S. with High Distinction) and Wayne State University Law School (J.D.) He was licensed to practice law in Michigan (1983) and Florida (2007).

 

 


He is a licensed private pilot, and a former Air Traffic Control Specialist with the U. S. Navy and the Federal Aviation Administration.  He was a founding member and past Chair of the Aviation Section of the State Bar of Michigan.  He is a member of the American Association of Justice; Michigan Association of Justice; and is a member of the Probate and Estate Planning and Elder Law Sections of Michigan and Florida.

He has been a trial attorney for twenty five years assisting clients with claims in areas of complex personal injury/wrongful death litigation including:  Aviation, Trucking, Auto & Motor-cycle accidents; Product Liability; Medical Malpractice; Premises Liability; Construction/Work-place injuries; and General negligence.  He has represented thousands of clients and achieved numerous verdicts and settlements in excess of One Million Dollars.

For the last ten years he has been helping clients with their estate planning needs including: Wills, Trusts, and Powers of Attorney (financial and health care), and estate and trust administration.  In 2005, he was one of the first in Michigan to receive a Certificate of Completion in the areas of Probate and Estate Planning, which was issued by the Institute of Continuing Legal Education and the Probate and Estate Planning Section of the State Bar of Michigan.
